Born and raised in the South of Germany.
Ilka Metzner studied acting at the Mozarteum in Salzburg.
She received her further education in Viewpoint training (body/voice and improvisation training) and in Suzuki training in Salzburg as well as in the USA with Anne Bogart and the Siti Company.

Years of training in Yoga/ Qi Gong, Kempo, Tango Argentino, Contact Improvisation. Teaching activity in the field of viewpoint training, drama/physical training, improvisation, communication and presentation at the TU Berlin, Hochschule der Medien in Stuttgart, Kreissparkasse Saarpfalz, LPM Saarbrücken and the Zürcher Hochschule der Künste.
She regularly leads workshops in Viewpoint in Germany and founded her own Viewpoint-Ensemble in 2013. In addition, she works as trainer for theatre pedagogy, in the area of further education for teachers. For years, she has been giving workshops for students and taught theatre at different schools.
Since 2015 she is mother of a daughter.
Work on straightening, grounding/ground contact and body centering as well as on perception.
Partner work and the joy of exchange and movement are at the heart of the training, which integrates elements of the Suzuki training as well as the Viewpoint training, improvisation and group play.
